My name is Robin Griffin. I live in North Carolina, in the United States. I find that is an important thing to mention especially since so many people from all over the world are reading blogs. I am a recent graduate of Barton College. I am currently teaching 7th grade language arts and social studies at the middle school that I attended. I love to work with children. I always have. I started out working in an elementary school but transferred to the middle school for a much needed change. I know I have found my calling. I just love to work with that age group of kids. Some people call me crazy, but I can’t help it. I love to read, I love to sing, I love my computer, I love my job, and most of all, I love God and my family.
I have been married to my soulmate, John for 19 years now. Without him, and God’s grace, I would not be able to make it through the day. He spoils me and I love him more than ever. He is gentle, loving, caring, compassionate, and GREAT father to our children. He was Mr. McDreamy in high school and wouldn’t give me the time of day. But God had a plan for us. Several years later, while I was working with his brother, we re-met each other. It was love at second sight.
) We haven’t been apart since. I couldn’t imagine life without him.
We have been blessed with three wonderful children:
Brian, who is 23 years old, was married on February 14th, 2007, so technically I have four children. His wife’s name is Heather and they have given me the precious gift of my granddaughter!
Her name is Kailey Marie!
Nicholas, who is 17, is in his junior year of high school. He is a HUGE Carolina fan, loves Nascar, playing games on the computer, social studies, science, and loves to draw. Nicholas has cystic fibrosis and I have a blog I use to keep everyone updated on what goes on with him. You can find it here.
Miranda, who is 14, loves to sing, talk to her friends, and is a sweet loving girl. She is in her freshman year of high school and is a member of the Marching Cougars color guard and she wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She has taught herself how to play guitar and she writes her own songs.
We have a black lab named Buddy, who is spoiled because we let him in the house too much. He is getting old and gray.
(
AND, last but not least, we have by baby: Oscar Batts Griffin. He is a cute little 3 year old Daschund and we LOVE him. He is fast, he loves to play with his little squeeky toys, and he is very sneaky.
) Just look at him pose! He is so photogenic!
This is my family.
